We do the same as yours Patriot except we use yellow onions and add bell peppers to it. Untill we came out with our GC alfredo, the wife and i would take a large BBQ GC home with us every Saturday night.

We just spray our trays with a little pam…we also wash our trays everynight anyway so no oil build up.

Does your cooler have defrost elements running through the coils on the unit inside your cooler? If yes then your defrost timer or elements may be bad. If no, and you have never had this problem before, it may just be low on freon.
