Christmas Prep Madness, How’s Everyone Doing?

Hey everyone,

It’s that time of year again, the Christmas season is in full swing and I’m up to my ears in preparations! Between decorating the tree, planning the holiday feast and getting those gifts wrapped (still working on that part 😅) things are getting pretty busy around here.

I’ll be smoking a holiday ham this year and maybe some ribs as a treat for Christmas Eve. If anyone has tips for nailing the perfect Christmas ham, I’d love to hear them!

But enough about me let’s make this post about you!
How do you celebrate Christmas? Are you busy prepping too, or do you prefer to kick back and enjoy the season?
What’s on your smoker or grill this holiday?
And for those who don’t celebrate Christmas, what does this time of year look like for you?

Sounds like you’re in full holiday mode love it! Smoking a holiday ham sounds amazing and adding ribs for Christmas Eve is such a treat. For the ham, I’d recommend scoring the fat in a diamond pattern and basting it with a glaze during the last hour of smoking. A mix of brown sugar, honey, Dijon mustard and a splash of apple cider vinegar works wonders for flavor and that beautiful caramelization!

As for me, I’m also knee-deep in holiday prep! I’m planning on smoking a turkey this year, along with some smoked mac and cheese as a side. The grill gets a real workout during the holidays in my house.

I love the mix of hustle and holiday spirit this time of year brings but I try to take moments to just relax with some hot cocoa (or mulled wine!) and enjoy the lights.

yeah I agree, your human. but your also the voice of Jerrell and Ronnie Stanley. and probabaly 47 others. You sit there at your desk, with your 50 smartphone for 12 hours, typing this garbage on forums and social media all over the world. Does PMQ pay you or your boss for this.
