Forth of July

We had a pretty good lunch but by 5 everything had died down. We normally close at 12 Fridays but ended up closing at 10. By 7 we had sent one manager, one pizza cook, one grill cook, 2 waitstaff, a hostess and phone girl home. It was one of our slowest Fridays since the day after Thanksgiving last year.

We had a slighty below average Friday for the 4th, however the 3rd made up for it as it was 50% More then an average thursday

My shop was open regular hours. The 3rd was higher than average, but the 4th was terrible for us. My store is located in part of town with a good amount of money, so every 3 day weekend our business slows down since so many people go out of town. we’re also located 3 hours from SF and LA, so it’s very common for people to leave town on 3 day weekends.

We are in a resort town and town was PACKED with people. More visitors than locals on a weekend like this. Big numbers all week including Friday. Fireworks start at about 9:15 so we had an earlier than usual rush for this time of year (5-7 instead of 6-8) and it was pretty much over at 8:00. Closed easily at 9PM. Been hot all this week though so numbers have been a bit off since the weekend.
