Wayne about hosting…Because you are in Canada, you should make sure to host on a server that has Canadian IP numbers…When
www.google.ca and
www.yahoo.ca “crawls” for it’s Canadian index it can exclude non-Canadian IP numbers…So you get a far better ranking than with a Canadian IP number…I used to have an article that explained this better but I can not find it…Also, much better to have a .ca than a .com .ca’s show up better in the Canadian versions of the search engines…
www.netfirms.ca has a decent package for about C$160.00 for a year with 2 free domains…And well .com’s may be better if you are world wide, .ca’s are better for Canadian businesses…
About your logo…It is set to display at a larger size than the original file…So somewhere there must be a setting you can change to reduce the size…
Also, about your logo…When you paid to get it done, did you acquire the copyright for it?..Now this sounds kind of silly but most of the time when you get a logo done you are only paying for the designers time and not the files…If you owned the files, you should have been able to get them on a cd with all kinds of versions for your use…You will have to ask about this…
About
www.istock.com I use them all the time…In fact, a few times I have had clients “demand” I use their own photos and when I ship their orders I also get some “pre-production” samples with i-stock photos to compare…Many have switched and not gone back…Well done photos make a world of difference…Also your chicken folks likely has good photos you can use…
