Recipe Bank Hoagie Rolls . . . a keeper

I just got off the phone with a bakery on The Hill in St Louis. 6" hoagie roll $2.50/dozen 7" $2.75. And they are good…I’m going to think about ciabatta as an alternate, and a muffelletta…love the muffs!

Using a local bakery (or butcher) can often be incorporated into your marketing…Remember you are selling “sizzle” more so than pizza…

The best sandwich I’ve ever had in.my.entire.life was the muffaletta from Central Grocery in New Orleans. I wanted to recreate it at my own restaurant, but the food cost was ridiculous. I’d have to charge $18 for a sandwich.

PS: also had one of the best meals of my life on The Hill in St. Louis. Good times up there.
