Wall Streets Effect on Pizza Sales

We are down about 50% for both Monday and Tuesday this week. Could all of this wall street stuff becausing any of this?

last week was slow for us fri was off about 50% due to high school football game being at home . we will be glad when ball season is over or when there on the road for away games rotten thing to say but the whole community is at the ball field :cry: town is a ghost town

We have a contract to provide pizzas to the concession stands for all school events. We will sell them about 20 16" Pizzas during a football game. We priced it so the athletic department and us both make a profit.

We are slower during away games.

we have made them all kinds of offers ,specials ,delivery to the buses for away games so they dont have to stop or if they run late they dont stop kids go hungry offered 6 inch sub chips and drink in brown bag they still wont go for it there just plain greedy at there concession stand bunch of crooked people got there fingers in it. ahh life in small town south. :lol:

I think the whole world’s finances will be and are being affected by the turmoil from Wall St and the US Sub Prime crisis. I know it has had an major effect on our economy in Australia with recession talk in the air.

The thing is with recession is participating or choosing not to participate. I have chosen not to participate and drive my business even harder.

As everyone whines and complains how bad things are going we have just launched a range of 8 new Gourmet pizzas priced at $13 for 10" smalls and $20 for 13" large. A new offer with a higher sell price stimulating customers wants for trying something different. We may not sell as many but our dollar sale will be higher (plus profit as we use less toppings on gourmets).

Give your customers something new to stay in front of declines from the status quo. Time to be adventuress and innovative.

To quote the old saying … “When the going gets tough, the tough get going”

Pizzas with lamb, potato and pumpkin; lamb, baby spinach, roasted peppers and cous cous with yoghurt, others with prosciutto and pear etc. You only use the lamb sparingly.

The thing is they taste better with less, but quality toppings. The costs are around 30% so the overall return is good at the $20 price point.

When and how do you add the yogurt? Do you only add yogurt after cooking?

We have a number of gourmet pizzas with yoghurt. These are added after they come out of the oven and after they are cut. We swirl the yoghurt around the topof the pizza. Adds a really nice taste sensation with our Tikka Chicken pizza or the minted yoghurt on the Morrocan Lamb with Cous Cous and the greek yoghurt on the Greek Seasoned Lamb, Zuchinni, Grilled Eggplant and Roasted Peppers pizza.
