who puts deli or wax paper in their pizza boxes?

I am still hoping someone will advise if the wax side is up to the pizza or down to the box. Actual wax paper confounds my imagination on this application, and I want to know which way it is being used.

Mine’s not the classic baking wax paper, it is “grease resistant” wrap - a waxy paper made for wrapping sandwiches and such…
