I can certainly agree with that for a segment of the population. In my market, there is a segment of people who think pizza should NEVER cost more than $10, regardless of what you put on it.. . . . . With companies like Dominos putting out tasteless cardboard crap for a cheap price people aren’t willing to pay a premium price for a premium pizza. Granted, there are those out there who are willing to pay good money for a good pie. But most people who get pizza are cheap coupon using bargin hunters who are more concerned about saving a dollar or two than they are with eating a good product.
60% of the households here, though, order my higher priced and higher quality pies. I am working hard to increase that number, but will hit the ceiling eventually due to that discount segment.
